For the past 15 years, skateboarding and photography gave me great opportunities to visit distant places and meet people with very diverse cultural backgrounds. Skate photography, led me to explore the outskirts of Beijing, Rome, and Barcelona and allowed me to escape the main sightseeing areas and get somewhat close to what one can regard as "true" or "authentic" local life. lt also gave me a unique chance to meet people of different ages and lifestyles, with a shared passion for urban exploration, athletic practices and the art of movement.

As a skateboarding photographer, I knew very little about parkour culture before meeting Zlatko, Kristiyan, and Yasen in 2018. I had probably even less knowledge about Bulgaria, but its concrete, post-communist, brutalist, and very often neglected architecture sparked my photographic interest.

Thanks to the precious help and warm welcome of my local hosts, l've been able to discover parkour and explore Bulgaria through a less traveled path; one lined with huge residential projects, grandiose monuments, and abandoned facilities.
